Black in the Summer?

We Seattlelites love wearing our dark shades. My cold weather wardrobe consists of mostly black, navy blue, dark grey, light grey, heather grey, grey grey. And yes its due to the gloomy weather and the risk of overdosing on caffeine at a local coffeeshop. But anyways, how many of you still wear black in the summer?!

Well this Hawaiian print black retro dress was a secondhand steal! And I guess Hawaiians also wear black in the summer. Full of palm trees and pineapples  this dress is far from a morbid black dress in 80 degree weather.

To top it off I found this complementary pink hat that pulls the pink off the dress.

Be sure you don’t wear this in church. Otherwise your favorite priest will tell you to “cover those little shoulders up.” Nothing like some gentle correction. Not that its ever happened to me 😀

Omg I love hula. A couple of weekends ago I saw a religious sister hula at the Ignite Your Torch Northwest Conference. As a fellow islander I appreciated that. No video of that on here 🙂
