When You Wish You Had a Boat

Living in the Pacific Northwest can inspire you with its gray skies, snow-capped mountains, and the wide wonder that is the Puget Sound. It makes you wish you had a boat! #PNW

But alas! I do not.

However, I do look good in nautical stripes and sailor-themed patches.

“In 1858, the government of France decreed that all navy sailors in Brittany would wear the new “matelot” knitted shirt in white with 21 blue stripes—one for each of the deceased Emperor Napoleon’s victories. Supposedly, the striped pattern would make it easier to spot someone who’d fallen overboard. It quickly became the seaman’s standard uniform and has inspired designers, particularly in France, ever since.” (Parsons and TeenVogue)

My Norwegian friend Leif is useless to me because he never lets me on his boat. #ItChangedMyFourthofJulyPlans #ScandinavianPunk

Before I wanted to be Beyonce I wanted to be Aaliyah. #DiedTooYoung
